Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host, surf, and meet up with people to understand people and places more deeply. I feel that Couchsurfing enables a more profound understanding and appreciation of places, and what and how they mean. Much in the world of tourism (it seems to me) celebrates a superficial experience which is about going to sites and taking pictures without being fully present. I like tourist sites (which are often beautiful and interesting), but I really enjoy seeing places through the eyes of locals, and sharing my home town in Heidelberg with those who would want to see it through my eyes and those of my friends.

Teach, Learn, Share
I teach philosophy and religion to adults and young adults. My focus is Jewish thought, but I am learning wisdom and insight from varied lineages.
I also love laughing and singing and walking and crazy beautiful experiences
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to share (and learn) ideas, inspiration, spirit, zest for life, and global connection.
I believe that interpersonal, intercultural connection, in its small way, heals a broken planet.
