About Me
**I am not living in Ipswich right now. I will be in Chicago starting on the 23**
I have lived in Ipswich since I was five years old-- I know all the great spots:) I will be here until September, living with my mother and sister. We are happy to host couchsurfers in this beautiful old house. In September I will go to Guatemala, and then back to Chicago where I am in school. I am working many jobs and at weird hours, so if you come stay with me you will also be exploring Ipswich on your own, but I have bikes to lend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, and to meet new people who are different from myself. I hope to learn and practice new languages. I like to meet people from the cities I go to, and learn about the places from the people who live there. For me, Couchsurfing makes traveling accessible and so much fun. When I am able, I hope to host more people and pass on this experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like folk music (The Head and the Heart, Joan Baez). I also like using music to learn new languages (right now I listen mostly to music in Spanish or in Persian).
My favorite books are "Como Agua Para Chocolate", "The Color Purple", and "Hitchikers Guide to the Galexy"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe that amazing things happen every day.
I went on a walk yesterday with a 9 year old Iranian neighbor who has down syndrome. It was really incredible to experience my hometown for 15 years with this person so different from myself. We spent a while throwing rocks in the river, and teaching each other words. I said "almost" when his rock didn't reach the river, and he took this word as a cheer. Every time the rock hit the dirt or the water he looked up and smiled "ALMOST!". I learned the word sag (dog). He threw one of my sandals in the water, and while I was wading in to get it, he threw the other one again with a smile.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about music (guitar, and singing), how to cook chicken-lemon soup, and how to draw faces.
I would love to learn about Flamenco, where good hikes are, your favorite recipes, or how to walk on a flat line. I love learning, and if you have something you like to teach, let me know, because I will likely be game.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook stir-fries and soups.
I can play music and teach ukulele.
