Cooking, discussing said cooked dish, and the eating part as well. Travel in general, and photography specifically. Running with my dog. Exploring local music scenes. Meeting people with hidden personalities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen: Lately I've been listening to Caribou, Charlotte Gainsburg, Stars, Anh Trio, the Unicorns, T Monk, the Lovers, and assorted Christmas carols.

Watch: Any film with Julianne Moore - esp. The Kids are All Right and Single Man. Also adore the Irish film, Ondine. And I do like Hugh Jackman anything..I must admit.

Read: I like books that dig into people's relationships with food and/or place. Two years ago, fave was 'Animal, Vegetable, Miracle'. Last year I finally read Murakami's 'What I Talk About When I Talk About Running.' And like everyone says, it's as motivating as it is beautifully written. This year, Richard Florida's 'Who's your City' kept me up for a few nights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a sucker for sunrises. The ones in New Zealand were the best. Possibly because they come first.
