Overview
About Me
Growing up in rural Saskatchewan imparted in me a strong sense of community. Meeting new and interesting people gives me the energy to continue exploring and expanding my mind! I'm extremely political, and I treat my social democratic ideology as my religion.
I had two wonderful kitties (Sam and Kali) who are my sunshine! Cat lady, right here. My partner is a librarian, so I think we've almost fulfilled the stereotypes of our kind.
When I'm not schooling I love to spend hours in my garden seeing what has grown and changed from the day before. It gives me the grounding I need. I also watch far too much Netflix (I'm on season 4 of Scrubs right now!) and love having friends and family over for BBQs on my deck. My house is pretty well open to all my friends all the time; it's not unusual to come home to someone sleeping in the living room or smoking on the deck! Generally they've also gotten into my raspberry bush. I'm not as forgiving when it comes to my raspberries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have many friends who have used couch surfing before. I have not, but I'm looking to do so! The philosophy behind it really speaks to me, and what's better than meeting a new friend to make a foreign city feel like home?!
