About Me

Hi there, greetings notable couchsurfer! :)
Here is a little bit about my character so you have more information to decide on...
I like to think of myself as an open, positive and warm person - to all sorts of people and to the life in general. I try to bring "inner smile" with myself wherever I go and I never forget good manners with it. Listening to people can be described as my passion sometimes, and when I talk to others they say that I have a lot of interesting knowledge. I tend to disagree on that since I have still much life ahead and there is so much to learn in this world. That is why I always appreciate new experiences in any possible way that life can give to you. The personality of my tall posture [ex-basketball player ;)] holds broad interests aslo... My way of thinking and acting is guided by "Be all that you can be" and right now I am trying to integrate "What you are searching is already what you are" deep within me. Yeah, kinda philosophically oriented inside, but dont worry, I will not kill you with Nietzsche or Camus! ;) I always try to see potential inside people and help them if they are in any struggle. My field of study is economics and I am an entrepreneur within my own startup, but I love this world too much to stay just on that one thing. Furthermore, I never see economics as money making machine, I see it as the way our culture is functioning now, and to make progress we must understand it first. A constant search for personal development and improvement of life in all fields are the magnets on my spirit everywhere, but I would like to follow that with giving back to society and to the people as much as I can. I still think it is possible to change the world, but in order to do that, we must look deep inside us before we do anything else. Now just say, I know it: oh you bored me with this, where are all the weird secrets and crazy stuf?! :D I will leave that for a glass of wine and sunset on the sea shores here in Split or anywhere else where the opportunity reveals its interesting face...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: philosophy, romans, novels, poetry, psychoanalisys, economics...
I like to read a lot about spirituality, medicine, physics, autobiographies, new technologies etc. One wide circle covered in its basis I would say. Ask me in person! ;)

Music: So many things that it would be painfull to write it down. From alternative rock, modern EDM, through classics, via jazz to indie, post-rock, pop, indie, metal, fado, trance, techno...and the problem is that I have no favourite! Some of you already think: "How can you love all this at the same time?" and I was asking myself the same question very often before I accepted that I really don't know and I probably never will.

Movies: Basically the same thing as with the music. But, let me try somehow maybe: The Matrix, Mr Nobody, The Hours, Sybil (1976), LOTR (older trilogy), The Dreamers, Wall-E, A Dangerous Method, 12 Angry Man, 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Love me if you dare, Donnie Darko, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Shining, a lot of Q. Tarantino and M.Scorsese, Schindler's List, Fight club, C. Nolan...and I must stop here because this is probably not even 0.1%. I need to update this with the less famous movies, yes, I know...here and there I like to watch those weird and little bit uncomfortable movies which are not famous only because Hollywood didn't produce them, but they talk about what it is to be human more than 90% of all famous blockbusters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing horse, my horse is amazing! Just kidding, hmm...here are few just because I feel like it:

- Erasmus exchange program in which I enjoy meeting all sorts of minds with different nationalities and cultures,
- One really huge slingshot in Vienna,
- Bungee jumping near Šibenik, Croatia, from bridge
- Volunteering with a boy scout camp organisation to help a young boy to stand back on his feet after one big tragedy in family
- Ultra Festival Europe in Croatia,
- Summers on island Hvar,
- Cliff diving
- Mountain bike ride after worst condition ever and zero preparation of 85km at once
- Swiming under waterfall on Azores
...

Teach, Learn, Share

As an basketball player, snowboarder and surfer I can share a lot of experience which can ultimately lead to uncontrolled breathing and weird facial expressions known most commonly as - laughter!
;)
Nature is beautiful (in Split, Croatia is amazing really, since we don't have strong industry which can often ruin it) so I like to do millions of things with it: swim in Adriatic sea, rivers and now in the Atlantic ocean no matter how cold it is! Kayaking needs to be done more often sadly... Also, trips to mountains are high on my activities list with the contrast which is held within the sunsets on the beach, watching the sun as it is being washed away by the waves...
I have worked for 5 years in a row during high season in touristical heavens Hvar and Split as bartender and waiter while I was in high school and at the beginning of my university studies so I have a lot of interesting experiences with the people literally from all over the world. Right now, as entrepreneur I meet a lot of interesting people and travel a lot so there is much on my mind.
