About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make long-lasting friendships and experiences over food, drinks, and music anywhere and everywhere.

ABOUT ME

They would say that I am a genuine person packed with a positive and light-hearted personality. I am not a very tall person, and one of my friends loves to say that "short people always have the most personality packed into them."

My friends would say that I am funny and like to have fun, but also know when to be serious and polite.

PHILOSOPHY

My first and foremost personal philosophy in life is: There are things in life in which you already excel and are proficient; face your weaknesses and and tackle your obstacles. Challenge yourself.

Never stop learning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have neither surfed nor hosted yet. I am looking to do a brief tour of Germany and neighboring countries, and would love to surf your couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any couch surfing experiences nor hosting experiences. I am currently looking for hosts for couch surfing. I am also transitioning from my university life to the real world, and thus my couch is not quite ready for hosting yet.

Interests

Any type of opportunity to learn something new always grabs my attention. I love to engage myself with obstacles and challenges, such as participating in dance lessons when I didn't know how to dance or joining Model UN club to improve my public-speaking skills. I enjoy anything social: meeting new people, dancing with people, discovering food with people.

During my free time, I play a variety of video games, go out dancing swing and salsa, and learn languages. My other interests include physical fitness (including yoga and cardio), cooking, and eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Sherlock Holmes, Tom Robbins, Malcolm Gladwell, comic books, The Divine Comedy, Beowulf

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Taken, Star Wars, True Grit, Saw

Music: usually alternative rock and/or hard style

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent one was when my best friend and I drove 8 hours to Ontario, Canada to bungee jump in suits (James Bond style).

After 4 years of being the main instructor and performing for my university's Swing Dance Club, I watched in awe as my friends and club members danced their feet away during a talent show. I felt like a proud parent as I wiped away tears in my eyes. They won Third Place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak two languages fluently: Tagalog (Filipino) and English, and am currently learning German and Spanish.

I have several years of experience in dancing, specifically Swing Dancing and Salsa.

I am also a certified chemistry/science teacher.
