I live in Diemen Noord with my beloved Morgan and part-time with his two sons (10 & 12 in 2019).

Our hobbies include experimenting with (vegetarian/vegan!) food, having a cold drink in the garden with friends, neighbours or guests on a warm summer night and when we turn on the TV we like watching standup comedy shows, Hulu/HBO/Netflix series, documentaries or the odd Arthouse film. Besides that we also like to go out to concerts and festivals and to go to the cinema or a spa wellness centre.

It's an excellent medium for adventurers!

Before I joined, I have stayed with friends, family and befriended families in Guatemala, South Africa, Sweden, Germany, UK and Mexico. As you can see, I have more hosting than surfing experience. But I like to do both anyway!

Intereses

Experiencing other cultures and habits is what interests me and I like tasting exotic food, so I would appreciate it if you bring something authentic to your country. Or even better: cook your favourite meal!

Música, películas y libros

BOOKS: I love everything of Stephen King and I also enjoy reading (travel) novels of writers from other countries (Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kader Abdolah, Paul Theroux). I mostly read in English, and I've recently started with a top 10 of classics that was listed in a Rough Guide booklet for Europe. 'The Trial' by Franz Kafka is interesting, but very lengthy...! :-)

MOVIES: I love watching movies - of all sorts, but especially art-house (Latin American, Scandinavian and Polish!), cultural documentaries and UK gangster films (Guy Ritchie rules!).

MUSIC: My music taste is quite broad. I listen to a lot of classical or mantra music nowaways (Snatam Kaur, Ajeet Kaur, Manish Vyas), but also love hiphop (Nas, Ice Cube, Paris, Eminem, Dutch hiphop, Mexican hiphop, even Arabic hiphop), rock music (from Gavin DeGraw to Silverchair to Helmet), techno (Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing), Dutch gabbermusic, and the occasional Salsa or Latin CD.
