One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I was scuba diving in the Caribbean, it was Belize's territory. We were supposed to go 147 ft. deep (it is important that you stick to the plan because it is easy to find troubles down there). To reach that depth we had to go to a hole that was nearby. When we were already there, we started going down, but I wasn't feeling very good. I thought it was the imposing and overwhelming view of that dark blue hole (I felt so vulnerable), or maybe the cold and pressure from the depth. I just remember I saw the most amazing little fish I had ever seen. It was a burning orange and I still think it was flashing. I just kept following it downwards (I didn't know it was downwards then). It caught my attention for a while and then I felt how someone was grabbing my leg really desperately. I was even starting to get mad because that someone was pulling me upwards. I thought they were just trying to be funny or something, and I hated them for that moment. After a while everybody was surrounding me and asking (with signs) if I was OK, they even told me my nose was bleeding. I was confused. We all started going out to the surface real slow. Once we were in the boat they told me I was swimming aimlessly inside the hole, going deeper and deeper. They even admitted that no one dared to go for me at first. I was at 186 ft. and they didn't want to risk themselves. They all said there was no fish.
