I'm a culture, nature, music, food, experience-loving fun person. I am currently doing my master's in international policy and i used to be a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Senegal in West Africa (which hopefully shows how low-maintenance and agreeable I can be) planting trees and also fighting malaria and childhood malnutrition.

I am taking my first vacation during my service in the Peace Corps and am very excited and feeling fortunate to be passing through Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Croatia or Serbia, Scotland, Ireland, and France. This trip will taken as a month long trip going from mid-November to mid-December. This vacation will actually be the first I've taken in my life and I'm looking to make it memorable by making some friends and having someone to show my friend and me the legitimacy that these countries may have to offer.

Intereses

I am interested in food and considering my service in Senegal where I haven't had any fruits, meats and cheeses for the past year I would like to consume my fill in that. I appreciate performance art as well as painting and enjoying sceneries and scents (ginger, lavender, yellow roses), classic literature, and I like to wrestle. I really want to cook good food, really really good food with plenty of colors and textures and it will be delicious so that we will eat it.

I think there's nothing better than a good conversation - and it doesn't have to be existential. I love sharing experiences and showing my appreciation through cooking for people and being a good partner for conversation.

Books: The Brothers Karamazov, The Waves - Virgnia Woolf, Oblomov, Swann's Way - Marcel Proust, A Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man.

I am interest in music of most sorts, but I would like to highlight classical music (Bartok, Ravel, Sarasate, Stravinsky, and most of the well-known ones) as well as Russian, 1920's Spanish, Arab, and Doina and Ladino music as well as most things on the radio.

I enjoy comedies/romantic comedies, musicals, a lot of Disney (embarrassingly), X-men and alike superhero movies (the Avengers, the Watchmen), as well as classic films.

I taught Arabic to a college level class for a summer (unofficially and under circumstances) so I think I can teach language fairly well.

I learn even faster! I'm an active learner and I don't get to travel much, but make sure to make it a memorable experience when I do.

Stories and jokes and recipes. I will probably be traveling with some pinches of good Iranian saffron and we can make saffron ginger milk tea.
