About Me

„Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“ -Mark Twain

Hey, I am Josy, a 21-year-young travel soul from Germany who made it her life mission to leave footsteps on the whole planet.

I love writing. About everything, but especially about my travels since I am accidentally undergoing the craziest adventures on my way. And I want you to take part of this as my stories might put a smile in your face! Sharing is caring, what you keep to yourself will die with you but why not create something bigger that survives our own little lives and gives hope to future generations?

LIFE IS HAPPENING FOR US NOT TO US.

Which is why we should keep doing the things that make us happy and less the things society wants us to. Because darling, you are born and then you die, but in between you can do whatever you want to. It’s society that creates rules for us, but you can break out of that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During the past years I found out that Cochsurfing is the easiest way to not just travel but also connect with amazing people going a bit deeper than the obvious shit. I love it to be amongst people and it is a pleasure for me to get to know new, open-minded, positive souls from all over the world.

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." - Oscar Wilde

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: a little bit of everything, depending on my mood. i love electronic music when summer, dancing and festivals are calling, indy/the sound you need for relaxing or studying, 90ies/trash for party/fun times and singing in the shower, reggae for a smoke or a hot bath, (german) rap for really tough times :D and whenever wherever: XAVIER RUDD, The XX

MOVIES: INTO THE WILD!, Butterfly Effect, Matrix, The Green Mile, Cloud Atlas, Hunger Games, Wild
favorite series: Black Mirror & Mr Robot

BOOKS: The Power of NOW, all John Green books, Perks of being a Wallflower, To kill a Mockingbird, Lovely Bones, How not to travel the world, Milk and Honey, Paulo Coelho

I figure your life is defined by the people you've met and the books you've read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

diving with schools of galapagos sharks, giant sea turtles and eagle rays

Teach, Learn, Share

YOGA TEACHER

I love languages. I can teach german, english as well as a little spanish and french.
On my list are portuguese and italian, so I'd be happy to learn as well!

Generally, I am impressed by all-rounders. I am interested in whatever you can teach me - the less I know about it the better!

What I Can Share with Hosts

People too often forget that it is their own choice how they want to spend the rest of their life.

I wanna hear your story and I am keen to share mine with you. My cooking skills are not too bad, my life views seem to be interesting for different kind of people and sometimes people want to quit job or uni after a long night talk so depends on you whether I am good or bad influence for you. After all I am not much of a stressful person so if we can share a little time together let's simply be young and wild and free and happy together.
