About Me

ABOUT US
We´re dating since 2011 - five years now! Jotar (43) illustrator, cinema maker and travel fan. Vero (34), art and cinema producer, also in love with traveling.

ABOUT JOTAR
"Positive, patient, well-traveled. I travel since I can remember, I love to know new cultures. I easily adopt accents wherever I go. Love to share my journeys with Veronica, my couple!". Jotar.

ABOUT VERO
"It's weird to write about yourself but since I have to do it, I'll do it with no shame! I'm fun, sociable and a bit entrepreneur . I like music, watch all types of films and meet new places." Verónica.

PHILOSOPHY
What has to happen, will happen.

Lo que tenga que suceder, sucederá

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

UPDATED OCTOBER 2016:
In this particular case we are looking for someone to meet us in northern Italy.
We have been invited to a festival in Trieste to present our film, a fantasy film. Since the festival has covered half of the passages from Buenos Aires, we encourage ourselves to extend the trip to a few more days on our account. We’re planning to go to Rome, Florence, Bologna, Venice and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
We will be thrilled and really thankful to be received, even if it’s for just one night because all help is welcome!

Interests

"Travelling, comics design, illustration, cinema making (and cinema fan!), reading, writing!" Jotar.

"I like art because it is the form of expression for the sensitivity of the human being. I love theater, reading, watching movies and try unknown foods, among many other things I like". Vero

Music, Movies, and Books

Jotar's...
"Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Star Wars… (as in the peak of golden age fantastic 80's). Matrix, War of Fire, Magnolia, Blade Runner… best lately: Holy Motors, Son of Rambow, Super 8…

Must mention series, because they're the new cinema: Breaking Bad, Utopia, True Detective, Orphan Black. And those who changed it all: Lost and House.

The Beatles, The Who, Franz Ferdinand, Morrisey, Bjork,

Anne Rice, E. A. Poe, Ernesto Sabato, Tolkien, Lovecraft, Aldous Huxley, Ray Bradbury …and the eternal Jules Verne."

Vero´s...
"Music: Bowie, Morrisey, Nick Cave, Soda Stereo...

Films: Clockwork orange. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Her. David Lynch y Lars Von Trier complete. Only lovers left alive and thousands more.

Writers: Hermann Hesse, Hemingway, Vargas LLosa, García Márquez, Oscar Wilde"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jotar's...
"I'm not like Rutger Hauer's Nexus 6 character in Blade Runner whom I quote: "I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate…" but I've seen some beautiful things as well….
Sunset in the caribbean with my girlfriend in Taganga, Colombia... The ancient stones of Machu Picchu, Peru...The Andes mountain range from Alto El Petiso's peak, Los Alerces Nat Park, Argentina...The Beagle Canal spotted islands seen from a boat, Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia, Argentina...The countryside near Inverness, Scottland, getting to the Loch Ness shores...Discovering Laguna Esmeralda (Emerald Lagoon) after a cold and dampy hiking. Ushuaia. Tierra del Fuego. Argentina...Perito Moreno Glacier in all its glory (contemplation while having some wine and cheese with my girlfriend. Amazing and magic!)...

Vero´s:
"Be alive"
"Vivir".

Teach, Learn, Share

"I can teach about camping, I'm experienced, forest areas mostly! Learn new languages and cultures. My own art (both comics and video), always eager to share them!". Jotar.

"I love to learn things about new cultures. I like to believe I have something to teach myself to others, and that’s something to find out!" Vero

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer a good talk about cinema, about traveling, and a lot of tranquility and silence where necessary. And when people do come to our city (Buenos Aires), whether if we’re available for reception or not, we will surely be ready for a walk, a lunch, or a tea break, and make them feel welcomed.

Countries I’ve Visited
