About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to take over the world and endoctrinate the youth to believe in tolerance and personal responsibility BWAHAHAHA!
ABOUT ME
I am a young woman who lives in a very content state of being (ohm).
I am a proud Canadian from Alberta however I have been told I was a much better fit for the west coast, guess I blend in with the hippies more than the cowboys.
I'm learning the tricks and traps of my chosen career. I have been teaching for six years on three different continents. My last job was teaching at an IB school in Indonesia, it was a new adventure every day. Some days the adventures were a little more hair-raising than others but hey, ninjas need to keep their skills sharp right?
My international career began teaching English as a second language in Korea in a DMZ town right along the North and South Korean border. It was exciting and insightful, it's not everywhere you see tanks rolling down the street or wave to soldiers in camo with sniper rifles.
Like everyone else on this site I am addicted to travel, I'm never healthier or happier than I am with my backpack seeing someplace new.
Also I am raising an army, I suggest getting on my good side or I'll send my secret teenage assassins after you!
PHILOSOPHY
The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have mostly hosted in Canada and England but I did my first couchsurfing trip to Italy for Easter 2012. A magnificent experience!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first found out about CS from my sister, a CS helped her out when a lot of plans fell though. Thank-you CS for helping her out
I have hosted a some wonderfully quirky vagabonds, I look forward to being one myself for a time.
Interests
I sing to myself all the time as I am a bathroom opera star :D
Love acting, but I'm not in to pretentious nonsense theatre.
Desperately love scuba diving, bought my own gear only to move away from the tropics.
Jumping from tall places is always fun.
Politics and history: fun as a spectator but terrible as a participant (except voting, one must vote in order to complain about the government.)

Music, Movies, and Books
A big fan of Celtic music, all you Irish and Scottish surfers, lets swap CDs! Soft rock, dance, electronic feature on my ipod and lately I have been getting in to some French and Korean indie bands. I guess my tastes are a little eclectic.
Books, love em! Currently addicted to Jim Butcher's Dresen Files and an Asian biographie called "Wild Swans"
Movies: I like sci-fi, fantasy, comedy and action best. Currently enjoying Warm Bodies for the soundtrack.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I passed grade 11 math, I am VERY proud of that achievement because it took SO much work.
Climbing Mt. Kinabalu was pretty epic; the clouds bow before me. Bwahahaha!
I have managed not to snap at my oppressive employer.
