About Me
Hello, I'm Roya, a girl comes from Taiwan. I've stayed in Europe for one year. Most
of the staying, I studied German in language school. Now, I'm traveling around
Europe. I was a journalist in Taiwan, and I love to meet different
people around, sharing stories with them.
colorful life and it would be nice if we can share some time together.
My recent available time is around late May onwards to July. Hope we can
find some
weeks together. Is that ok for you? We can discuss the timetable if you'd
like me to stay
with you.
Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Roya
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be staying England for a couple of weeks. I've been in London for three weeks and enjoyed it so much. But I haven't chance yet experienced the real British life or met people who has been living in England for a long time. I haven't done couchsurfing before, but lots of my friends highly recommend me to try. They said " Couchsurfing is the best thing for traveller ever!" People share lives and various cultures. It just like hosts stay at home but they experience the world, and for couchsurfer, they can meet different hosts and share the life they are living. That's why I'm looking forward to do couchsurfing.
Interests
Reading, writing, and traveling. Recently, I like cooking. After I've traveled in Europe, I started to cook for my helpX host and friends when they want to try some Asian food. Recently, I found out it fun to make sweets. After a long working day, a piece of cake is the best thing to treat yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Lost Stars. I love the lyrics "Only hate the road when you are missing home." Traveling for a long time is never easy, people may face difficulties that doesn't happen in daily life, and if you're a solo traveler, you have to fix it up all by your own. Sometimes, traveler feels lonely and miss home. However, it's a long long way to go home.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running under the aurora in Finland!!
It's AMAZING that we saw aurora three times in 4 days. The last time, there's nobody but me there. I couldn't help but running under the fantastic aurora.
Peeing in the wild in Iceland!!
I have to confess in advance, I know it's not a good idea. But I was forced to do that because if I have no choices. We counldn't fine any toilet after driving for two hours. we tried to ask for residents there, and you know what, a old gentleman let us into his house, and pointed a door, which was not a door of toilet. Instead, it's a door to his backyard!! There's nobody but sheep. Finally, my friends and I pee in the wild. The first time we did that, and it was only a word "awesome!!" :D
Teach, Learn, Share
Life is never easy and people tried to get through it everyday. What my journey told me is seize the moment. Enjoy the life you live, because you have no second chance. Laugh with the one you love, because you may see him/her tomorrow. Share with the one you meet, because you may get more than you taught.
What I Can Share with Hosts
First of all, from May 2014 until now, I've been to 11 countries in Europe. Stories happend in my journey will be one of the most treasurable memories in my life. I am willing to share with my host.
Secondly, I can cook Asian food and make cakes.
Thirdly, I am a Chinese native speaker. I can teach Chinese if the host is interested.
