About Me

I'm actually a 26 yo student and marketer living in Podgorica.

Right now I have the coolest job ever as I do marketing and sales for a social venture called Meanderbug which lets people experience Montenegro in an authentic way while helping the locals. I'm into cooking, startups, marketing, swimming, reading and music.

There's nothing better than doing something spontaneous on your trip and one day I wanna backpack through Europe with no plan at all, I just wanna go with the flow.

Deep late-night talks are my thing. I appreciate people that make me see things from a different perspective. I think it's important to cultivate healthy discussions with opposing opinions, for as long as there's respect for the other person. Even if we don't agree about something, let's appreciate moments that we will never live again and cherish each other's company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people, talking about our cultures, showing you around, exploring your city.

How I got here? Well, the year was 2016. My company that I was remotely working for (before that was mainstream ;) back then organized a trip for teambuilding trip in Madrid. My mom freaked out when I told her I was going (she thought I was smuggling drugs and to this day, the woman has no idea what I do).

After that experience, I decided to get on Couchsurfing as a way to save money during my trip to Germany and Netherlands. Fun fact: I met 2 amazing guys in person that I had previously played video games with only, such a cool experience. I booked plane tickets as soon as I got back from Madrid, inspired by my first trip abroad and on my own (kinda).

But first...I wanted to know what Couchsurfing is like. If I was gonna stay with strangers, first I need to see what's it like on my field. So I decided to host people that summer in my dorm room while my roommates were away. Not to be dramatic but that's how my life literally changed. People I met and stories I heard had a ripple effect on my decisions later on, which I will always be grateful for!

I'm passionate about showing the best of my country even though my time is limited. And I always read profiles thoroughly so I expect you to take a few minutes to read mine. If you can't host me in your city, let's meet up!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a passionate reader. A friendly warning: if you take me to a bookshop, you'll be stuck there for at least an hour!

Book: Kite runner by Khaled Hosseini, The Trial by Kafka, Kafka on the shore by Haruki Murakami

Music: Everything, but indie is my favorite

Movies: X-men, Me and Earl and The Dying Girl, Trance, Boyhood, Gone Girl,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I became a part of startup team at 19

I couchsurfed my way through Germany and Netherlands when I was 20

At the age of 16, I accidentally messaged a 40 yo guy thinking he was a 16 yo French student on exchange in the US. In the end, the 40 yo and his family became my American family and visited me that summer. I visited them after 9 years of not seeing each other.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Montenegrin and I'm always happy to cook together.

I also wanna learn something about you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories and maybe something from Montenegro, depending on how light I have to travel!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, United States
