Overview
About Me
Just relocated to Nashville for graduate school. Before that was living in Boston for a coupla years, was wandering for a bit, and was living in Ghana and Tanzania for a coupla years. Making the transition from engineering to social science.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people when I travel, and love meeting people who are traveling where I live! I am especially excited about hosting people who are traveling by bicycle (I also have a profile on the warmshowers network).
Interests
I like bicycles -- building, repairing, and riding them (especially on long trips). I like building and repairing other things, too. Recently bought a used motorcycle and immediately built a bicycle rack for it. I enjoy gardening, planting trees, and caring for animals. I'm a vegetarian.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like reading all sorts of things. Current things on my mind include: Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, The Year of the Flood, Debt: The First 5,000 Years, Kindred, Gilead, The Teleportation Accident, The God of Small Things, and The Sellout.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The neighbor's dog gave birth to five puppies and they were quite cute. I've met wild hedgehogs -- they were also quite cute. My neighbor takes care of a bunch of goats and they rock.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about building and fixing bicycles. I can build and fix some things. I kind of know how to sew. I know some things about vegan cooking.
Maybe someday I'll work up the motivation to learn to play a musical instrument, but probably not...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be overjoyed if I could fix your bicycle, cook you some vegetables, and/or do your dishes.
Countries I’ve Lived In
