Hello, so my name is Joy and probably as the most of you, I love to travel.

I am from Belgium, more specifically, the beautiful city of Ghent. Currently I'm doing my Erasmus in Jyväskylä, Finland. I don't want to spend my whole semester in this city, my goal is to travel around in Finland and discover everything Finland has to offer.

I consider myself as a happy open-minded and social person. I love to meet new people and listen to other's stories. II love animals, dogs, cats, horses,.. I love them all.
I like to do sports. I am a dancer, I do some horseback riding and some climbing.

I don't see myself as a very experieced traveller, but I am getting there, trying to take every opportunity I have. My biggest travel experience so far was a two-month work away experience in Iceland where I worked on a diary farm. I also travel a lot to France since my boyfriend is French.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I think this is a very clever idea. When discovering a city or a beautiful landscape it is always better to get some tips from locals, you feel a bit less like a tourist. Of course I am also a student and this way I can save some money for other explorations. I am looking forward to meet you all!

Interests

I love nature, nothing makes me happier than a good hike in the mountains or in a forest or kayaking on a lake. But I also appreciate a bustling city. I am not really the girls that likes to go to a club, but more the one that likes to talk with friends in a bar.
