Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm an art student from New Jersey. Gonna dive headfirst into the CS scene.
Silly, easily excited, and passionate! I'm a weirdly extroverted introvert.
I live in the greater NYC Metropolitan area so I hang out there fairly often. Avid walker and fond of napping in most places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
it's brilliant. Not only is it budget friendly, your average traveler can live like a local and meet new people (and I love meeting new people). I'm not one for fancy hotels -- I mean, they're great, but there's something about such a close and shared experience that you can't get from a five star place that I love.
Interests
Doodling everywhere. (give me some crayons and I will be happy_.
Flea markets are amazing. Gah.
Any good food places? I will probably go there.
I am alternative scene friendly.
Talk to me about social justice as well. Proud intersectional feminist!
Animation and art and history, oh my.
I also want to delve into the locale of the place I'm staying in and learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
My older brother definitely had a lot of musical influence on me. I grew up listening to his 90s punk and rock CDs and now I am an amalgamation of beach rock, old school emo, and Beyonce.
Do you like musicals? Because I do. I love going to theaters and just watching a good production.
Also oldies when I'm feeling it. Cat Steven has a weird place in my heart.
There's an odd type of pleasure derived from visually striking, avant garde films.
I enjoyed Wings of Desire. And cutesy Wes Anderson ones.
Animated theatrical films are right up my alley! Paprika, Howl's Moving Castle, Paranorman, Metropolis.
Even older short animations like the ones from Lotte Reininger, Max Fleischer, etc. are great sources of inspiration for me.
So I'm not the most bookish person you'll meet (oops), I can recommend you a whole bunch of comics and graphic novels...!
I'm probably forgetting something.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I remember when I was 9 I was very proud that I ate a whole burger platter in one sitting. Go me!

I can show you how to draw some rad things.
I can make a pretty mean cheesecake.
I am also pretty so-so on Filipino cuisine. Thanks, mom.
