ABOUT ME

Hi! Let's see, what would my best friends say about me? I'm so glad you asked! :) One of my dearest friends told me recently that my heart is always open. Another one told me that I'm always smiling. So my friends would probably describe me as loving, caring and joyful. I bet they'd also say "independent", seeing as I've done some traveling on my own and walk to the beat of my own drum. I'm guessing that describes a lot of people on this site.

PHILOSOPHY

Love is the reason, love is the why. :) (OK, so I stole that from my friend's poem, but it's so good). We are all One. At the most fundamental level we are joyful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm kind of a newbie to the CouchSurfing world, though I have had plenty of experiences in surfing couches in my life. I'm excited to participate in this community. I love to fly by the seat of my pants and meet new people and travel to new cities and explore other cultures. I hope to host many people down the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a couple of the most fun, amazing people who had the best couch surfing stories. I'm hooked.

Interests

I LOVE MUSIC. I'm a singer/songwriter and can't get enough of it. I love writing songs, playing music for people, sitting in the sun on the beach and singing to the Ocean, recording music, collaborating with other musicians, dancing, etc.. I also love the outdoors - going for walks in nature, hiking, or just sitting on the patio relaxing with the flowers. I enjoy meeting new people and finding out what makes them tick, as well as having inspiring conversations with old friends. I love to meditate and enjoy learning about spirituality and consciousness, and often wonder about the ways of the Universe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Singing back-up in 2011 for Afro Moses in Ubud, Bali at Michael Franti's house and then the next night in front of a couple thousand people at a soccer field. I met Afro Moses a few days prior and told him I love to sing. Next thing you know I'm at rehearsals with him and learning 9 songs.
Seeing the Giant Sequoias for the first time. I cried. I was so awestruck by their humbling beauty and magnificence. My love for them was oozing out of me, and I felt their love too. (yes, I'm a total tree hugger, literally)
Meeting my niece, Jaya, for the first time. My brother and his family flew in from Australia and I picked them up at the airport in LA. Jaya was about 6 months old and I was blown away by the beauty of this little girl.
