Hello! My name is Joy, and I'm a nursing student at the University of Hong Kong. I'm planning to go on a working holiday to Canada soon, but before that, I'm hoping to explore some new places through Couchsurfing.

Travelling is one of my passions, and I've been fortunate enough to visit several countries so far, including London, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. Each new destination has taught me something new and helped me to see the world from a different perspective.

As a Couchsurfing guest, I'm respectful of my host's space and privacy, and I always make sure to follow their house rules and treat their home with care. I'm also interested in meeting new people and learning about their cultures, which is one of the reasons why I'm drawn to Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

In my free time, I love indulging in my hobbies. One of my biggest passions is music, particularly independent music. I enjoy listening to bands like Arctic Monkeys, Men I Trust, and Summer Salt, and I absolutely love going to gigs. There's something about the energy of live music that just can't be beaten.

Aside from music, I'm also a big fan of movies. I have a wide range of tastes, but some of my all-time favourites include Before Sunrise, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, and Interstellar. I enjoy movies that challenge me intellectually, make me feel a range of emotions, and leave me thinking long after the credits roll.

Another hobby of mine is reading. I find it to be a great way to unwind and escape into different worlds. Recently, I've been reading books by Franz Kafka, including Metamorphosis and The Trial. I love reading books that challenge my perception of reality and explore the human condition. I also enjoy exploring different genres, from classic literature to contemporary fiction and everything in between.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I'm travelling with my friend who is studying media in London, we can share our unique experiences living in different countries and our passion for exploring new places. We're both eager to learn more about the local culture and customs, and we're always open to trying new things.

In addition, I would be happy to share my knowledge of nursing, as well as any tips and tricks that I've learned from my travels. Whether it's recommendations for great local restaurants or tips for navigating public transportation, I'm always happy to share my insights and help others have a great trip.
