Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as many cities in Europe as possible from a local's point of view.
ABOUT ME
I'm a chill, friendly, pop culture fan and writer who loves to laugh and talk about music, film, TV, and books. There's nothing better than having a good intellectual discussion about life, culture, art, politics, etc.
When I'm at home (whether that means my actual apartment or wherever I'm staying) I mostly like to relax and read. I've been told that I'm a quiet and respectful houseguest.
PHILOSOPHY
YOLO. But seriously, my travel philosophy is to always try and see and do what locals like to see and do. If I only get one shot at visiting a new place, I feel like I get a truer sense of a city when I see it from a local's point of view.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly I've been going to spätie crawls and events in Berlin since I moved here a few months ago, but now that I'm settled in my new city looking to actually start couchsurfing around Europe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've mostly done the AirBnB thing when traveling, but since I've had so much fun at Couchsurfing meetups in Berlin I thought it'd be good to give it a shot. I've been room hopping the past few months in Berlin, and just recently crashed on a friend of a friend's air mattress for Oktoberfest in Munich.
Interests
I mostly love to read good books or screenplays, nap, eat and/or cook delicious meals, drink craft beer or obnoxiously fancy cocktails at "hipster" bars, and go dancing. No matter what city I'm visiting I always like to find the flea markets, farmer's markets, local boutique shops, cafes that serve cold brewed coffee and loose leaf tea, craft beer bars, and burgers. Any kind of burger (beef, veggie, mushroom, turkey, etc.) Brunch is nice too. Some people call me a borderline hipster/foodie. I'm not quite sure what I have to do to be full hipster/foodie, but there you have it.
