About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking the next steps after Uni.

ABOUT ME

I am a Scottish girl who has recently graduated from Uni. Now I am just trying to get my bearings and figure out the next steps to becoming a fully fledged adult! 🙈 Before I started University, I needed to have a break between school and University. I travelled with my twin sister and it was great having somebody else to do some travelling with. I think it makes the whole experience of being homesick that little less difficult! Now I am quite a competent traveller and I often travel solo, which is why I just love Couchsurfing and the chance to meet new people. Apart from that, I guess I don't know what else to say here. I am quite a chatty person but will shut up and listen also, I think I am a good listener... well at least I hope so!

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that you have to try to be always be positive throughout your life. I believe that negative feelings attract more negativity, and so bring someone's energy down even more! Thus I always try to be optimistic because it generally allows me to lead a much happier life. If something bad does happen to me, I try to brush myself down and just get on with it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel that Couchsurfing provides a fantastic way to meet new people and learn about other cultures. I get such a buzz after having had an interesting conversation with someone, and I hope to meet all sorts of people from all walks of life with whom I can engage in conversation with.
When I travel, I may look for couches to sleep on, or if I am at home, hopefully I can accommodate couchsurfers!

Interests

My main interest is in the arts; such as drawing, painting, music and acting. I got involved in various drama and music theatre groups also and just love to perform on stage. I don't think you can get such a rush from much else!
I also love to keep busy and enjoy taking part in outdoor and team activities. I really like to swim, dance, and generally keep fit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music provides me with a relaxing outlet from everyday stresses of life. Back home, I was part of choirs and Music Theatre groups and also played the violin. However, I have a broad range of music I like to listen to, with my favourite band being Queen. I am also a sucker for a good old nineties tune! I appreciate what other people listen to and really enjoy musical discussions. In terms of books, I love reading and am currently reading Silkworm.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to take a huge leap of faith...literally! I went skydiving in Australia and it was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. Strangely enough, I wasn't that nervous and found myself having been more nervous for a school exam! The first five seconds of freefall were definitely the best; the tumbling sensation upon jumping out the plane was truly amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

First of all, I would be able to teach people about my culture and background of living in Scotland. I could also teach people English if they needed to improve their skills.
I haven't been cooking for myself for that long so I could use some lessons in cooking!

Countries I’ve Visited
