About Me

I'm a journalist and a photographer with a love for travel and for discovering new cultures. In 2016 I left everything behind in Brazil to travel with my girlfriend Mariana and learn new ways of making the world a better place. Our journey started in South Africa with no ending in sight.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling the world is only as much fun as what you experience and the people you meet on the way, and couchsurfing is a perfect way to get in touch with people living their lives and sharing our mutual experiences while on the go.

Interests

Traveling is (obviously) one of the things I love the most. I like discovering new places, people, books, music and movies that make me see things differently. Photography lets me document places and realities that made an impression on me, so that's something that I always enjoy doing wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books

Choosing favorites here is not easy at all, specially regarding music. I like mostly rock, folk, a little bit of country, indie, and somethings in between. It's a little hard to pick favorites, but I really enjoy listening to Arctic Monkeys, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, and loads of others.
I also like a wide range of books: traveling stories always have a strong appeal - from On the Road to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy- and any well written piece of story that grabs my attention. The same goes for movies, but I have a taste for indie films, documentaries, SciFi, travel stories (Into the Wild is amazing both in print and on screen), and loads of classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far I like to think that leaving everything behind to travel the world is top on the list, but I'm open to new records here. In the last few years I thought it was amazing visiting Machu Picchu and climbing the Machu Picchu Mountain, getting to see the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia, working at a brewery in a remote village in South Africa, and seeing wild lions in a safari.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach photography skills, some Portuguese and English, and share all the experiences we've faced on the road. I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about local cultures, understanding different ways to live our lives, and being a part of new realities all around the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share our experiences, help and teach some of my skills, and help in any way possible.
