About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore the world, pay off my debts in the process
ABOUT ME
I am an ESL teacher in Gimhae, the city west of Busan that is partially connected to Busan by a lightrail. I have been in Korea since February 2013, first in Busan and then to here in Gimhae as of March 2014. Before this, I was a news editor for the website Patch.com and had previously been a writer and editor for several newspapers in New Jersey.
PHILOSOPHY
"What people do not understand, they will not value. What they do not value, they will not protect. What they do not protect, they will lose."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to provide a comfortable place for fellow couchsurfers to stay for a day or two as they explore Busan, Gimhae and this general area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted a pair of cross-country bike riders in Princeton, NJ, years ago. I want to get back into hosting and exploring the world through Couchsurfing.
Interests
Bike riding, writing, Settlers of Catan, wine, museums, exploring everywhere, trying and enjoying pretty much all kinds of Korean food (but, don't even try to get me to eat bondegi again).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being in Korea is pretty amazing. But, I have also seen Angkor Wat in Cambodia, explored a foggy mountain in Japan, rode 100 miles around Lake Tahoe and 500 miles from Lake Ontario to New Jersey for charity, among other things.
