ABOUT ME

I'm a queer-asian of chinese descent-nerd-physicist-engineer-environmentalist-leftist who speaks French and English, with a bit of Khmer and teochew. Hence, I probably suffer from a multiple identity problem, but I like to think that I deal with the multiple contradictions that arises fairly well. Oh, I also sound like a hyena when I laugh. It is one of my distinctive features: I often get told people never forget how my chuckles sound! I hope you do to!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a complete CS newbie, but I did host a girl who was roaming around at night looking for a park to go camping in Split, Croatia, even though the gent that was hosting me probably would not have allowed it. Come to think of it, maybe I should not have told this story! Regardless, she was awesome and let me stay in her student residence in Budapest and ensured I had a wicked time there!

people watching, being a complete nerd, discussing about nerdy subjects, caring too much about the future of the world and of the Earth, spending too much time in front of the computer, playing board games, late-night bike riding and taking over the streets, doing picnics, dancing unabashedly to electronic music, taking care of my composting worms, and Lady Gaga bashing!

音乐、电影和书籍

Movies: I like B movies from the 80s, particularly horribly bad horror movies. I always scream regardless of how bad it is: I've screamed watching "Killer Clowns from Outer Space", it's pretty hard to beat!

Music: I'll admit: I'm a musical elitist and I listen/download to way too much music. I pretend I don't like Lady Gaga, but I'll scream to the lyrics of "Bad Romance".

Books: I used to be a bookseller, so I guess that automatically me a book snob. Although I admit, I read the Da Vinci Code and enjoyed it. Harry Potter too, but not Twilight!

Skydive over the Swiss Alps. I still get shivers when I think about the 40 second free fall.

I can teach: nerdy stuff, i.e. Physics/Maths, bike repair/maintenance, computer maintenance, programming, photography.

I want to learn: DIY/survival/self-suffiency skills, particularly gardening and growing my own vegetables, repairing electronics/bike/car, etc.
