About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to avoid a real job for as long as humanly possible

ABOUT ME

Im from greely colorado which is a farm town about an hour north of denver. I grew up playing sports and messing around with my friends just like your average kid from my area. I am blessed to be from such a beautiful state with some of the best skiing in the world. I just graduated from Colorado State where I played four years of college football. I just finished up my football career which has taken up a huge part of my life for the last ten years and I am looking forward to pursuing something else, im just not quite sure what that is yet

PHILOSOPHY

My current philosophy on life is to experience and see as much as I can while I have the opportunity to bum around. I just finished up school and I am in no rush to settle down and get a job. I do not have a girlfriend or anything like that so I am pretty free at the moment to do whatever pops up in my head to do. I love meeting new people and the valuable things that can be learned from experiencing them, I am trying to experience and learn as much as I can with the time the good lord has given me on this earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a brand new member of couch surfing and I am really looking forward to meeting interesting new people from different backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities. I am just about to take a trip over to europe and Im extremely excited to hang out with people from other countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to couchsurfing, so im sad to say that I have no experiences yet. I hope to fill this column with some great stories in the near future.

Interests

I am a big sports fan and follow my colorado teams pretty closely. I have recently discovered the joys of cooking and my mother has been helping me the last few years to develop something beyond macaroni and cheese. I have just come across a lot more free time than Im used to so i am dedicated to learning my guitar that I have rarely played the last few years. I feel like I missed my calling of being a rockstar, but I realise im not the only idiot that has this as a wish. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and camping with friends and family. I really like fishing even though I rarely catch anything. Something about being by a lake or river and just relaxing with a six pack is very calming and enjoyable for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love sitting back and just enjoying a good comedy,I have based a large part of my life philosophy from watching the " Big Lebowski" whether that was a good decision or not it has worked out fairly well up to this point. I love listening to music and attending live shows where people dont worry about anythhing and just have a good time. Some of my favorites are paul simon, sublime, john butler, ben harper, toots and the maytals, peter tosh, rage against the machine, any old classic rock. I wish I could list off an impressive multitude of my favorite books, but I am not much of a reader, it is on my to do list of things to get into now that i am finished with school.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a church mission trip to mexico where I built a small house for a family. I have never seen anything like the conditions they lived in, it was a very important eye opener for a middle class kid from middle america abouot how much of the world lives. One of the cooler things ive probably done is play football in front of 75,000 people from my home state.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be the first to tell you I am not an expert in any field, but I have a decent knowledge of american sports and have played and followed them my whole life. I have recently dedicated myself to learning a foreign language, I am little embarrassed after looking at other profiles that I know absolutely no languages. I look forward to spending time with foreign languages and hopefully that will rub off on me.
