ABOUT ME

I recently moved to Fort Collins, CO after working in the Chicagoland in Media (advertising) for the last 5 years. I am living and love and just enjoying life and learning!!! Colorado is amazing and I am truly excited about this new chapter of my life!
I enjoy traveling, yoga, meeting new people, trying new food, and seeing live music. I am spontaneous and outgoing and always look at the bright side. I am also a part-time yoga teacher - but no regular classes.. just teaching when i can :) Follow me on Twitter at @Jamie_R

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the west and i want to explore with like-minded people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was able to find a wonderful person to host me and my friend in Cleveland by using couch surfing and made my experience in the new city amazing. I also just randomly met a couch surfing participant at a bar in Brooklyn while on a road trip. they were so generous and let my friend and i crash that night after meeting at the bar. everyone i've talked to or met through couch surfing just wants to help others experience the world and travel!

Interests

yoga, music, mexican food, advertising, numbers, falafel, and bourbon. I also enjoy crafting, sewing, nerding out about health and fitness, and recently trying my hand at paper cutting.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Aviator, Grandma's Boy, Nacho Libre, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Avengers, Captain America, any musical, and of course any Jay & Silent Bob film, included Mallrats, Clerks, etc.

TV shows include 30 Rock, Freaks and Geeks, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, south park, family guy, and the like!

Big fan of indie music and folk music, recently. Bands include ATDI, the Avett Brothers, portis head, the xx, ani difranco, two door cinema club, the beatles, and many, many more!

I tend to read non-fiction books relating to yoga or health. i'm a nerd... haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i've jumped out of a plane 11,000 feet in the air. i've seen a child grow from a baby to a young adult. i've tasted amazing food. i've seen the Cliffs of Moher. i've been in love.

What I Can Share with Hosts

great stories and laughs, endless hugs, dishwashing, dog walking, and maybe i can make coffee or oatmeal. :)
