Overview
About Me
I think I'm a nice, sociable, interesting person to hang out with, I like spontaneous decisions, unexpected adventures, I love to just walk around cities and see how people live there.
I'm currently working in human rights field and trying to save some money for my future studies. I hope to end up studying anthropology, doing research in Central Asia and becoming a great scholar:))
In the mean time I'm traveling across the southwest of the US, trying to both see as much a possible and stay on budget,. Combining the two still looks like puzzle though!;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been using Couchsurfing for five years already. I've been mostly surfing since I never really had any room to host anyone (with a short exception of my Erasmus year in Berlin). I've met some great people along the way, some of which I still remember as the best discoveries of my travels. However what amazes me the most is how supporting the CS community is. I've been in a couple of emergency situations and I was really surprised to see how many people have responded!
Interests
I love it when I have time to sit down, have a beer or two and just think about things. Even better if there is someone to discuss it with. Besides overthinking I enjoy everything that gives me food for thought: traveling, hiking, reading, talking.
And then I like all the usual things - good food, trying out and learning new things (languages in particular), playing sports (ping pong or frisbee), having long discussions about politics, history, identity or philosophy...

Music, Movies, and Books
I must confess I am not a big fan of cinema, somehow I just don't like watching movies. However there are some I have truly enjoyed. E.g. The Turin Horse, Mr. Nobody, Riešutų duona, What's eating Gilbert Grape, La vita e bella. There must be more, but I just can't remember.
When it comes to literature, it's impossible to define. The book which has left the deepest impression was One Hundred Years of Solitude by G. G. Marquez.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finally climbing an incredibly steep and rocky mountain with a huge backpack (full of hardly necessary things) on my shoulders and then seeing five rows of amazing white-capped mountains stretched across the horizon. I don't think I'll ever have enough of mountains :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn more foreign languages. Now I'm focusing on German and Russian.
I could share some nice and easy Lithuanian recipes (like a neon pink soup), which are easy to make and quite interesting to taste
