COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted couch surfers when I lived in Santa Cruz, CA.
Interests
I am filled with wanderlust. I joined the Navy to see the world but instead got stationed in Texas so now I'm taking matters into my own hands and traveling whenever I can. The only movies I watch are comedies, but I prefer to lay out in the grass and read a book about queer theory or go for a run with friends on the beach or through a forest. I love diving into new experiences, exploring different cultures in strange areas, and randomly leaping into solo, low-budget travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing place I've discovered on my own is a river through a forest/canyon/mountain in Santa Cruz, CA that I've since learned is called the Garden of Eden by others who have stumbled upon it. It is gorgeous and untouched, and I can never find the same part of it twice, but every time I go I feel like I've hiked into a separate world without responsibility or violence, and I just want to live there forever.
Another thing that comes to mind isn't as unique, but definitely leaves me awestruck: I freaking love watching a thunderstorm from an airplane! It's such an amazing scene!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to run well, to sew, and to play rugby. I'd love to learn to surf and play the drums.
