About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a young professional with a passion for travel and meeting people from all over the world. I have done most of my international travel in Europe, but can't wait to travel the rest of the world. I have the goal of one day living in France, but for now I live and work in Campinas, Brazil. I enjoy going to the movies, shopping in the open markets here in Campinas, going out to bars and botecos, and experiencing new things in Brazil.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an adventure. Live it. Love it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience with Couch Surfing has always been positive. I think it is reassuring that there is a network of people that are trusting and can be trusted. I have only surfed once, but have hosted a few times. I haven't hosted in Brazil or met anyone here on the site, but would be interested to meet anyone that has an open mind to meet new people in Brazil.

Interests

I love travelling, meeting new people, and DOING pretty much anything. I love to experience new things and go on adventures. I'm also a huge nerd and love playing trivia games and doing crossword puzzles. I am actively working on becoming fluent in French (and Portuguese), so I study a lot and welcome anyone that wants speak with me! I am kind of addicted to American sitcoms still and can't get into the Brazilian novelas, so if you are looking for true Brazilian culture, I might not be the best one to stay with!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My biggest physical accomplishment thus far is climbing Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. I am by no means a hiker and definitely not fit, but I made it and it is officially crossed off my bucket list! Other things that I have crossed off: skydiving, living in two foreign countries, and cooking an entire pig (luau style)... There is a much longer list that I will only share when it is completed!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not an expert in much of anything, but dabble in a lot of things. I have traveled several times to Western Europe and all around California and would be happy to share my experiences and give advice. I am an English teacher, so I guess if there is anyone who comes to Brazil to learn English, I am your girl. I am determined to become fluent in French and Portuguese, so I will take any lessons available!
