About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find the simple pleasures and the pleasure in simplicity

ABOUT ME

I am a jack of all trades, but the master of none. Truly speaking, I like to dabble in creative projects and transect the world by visiting as many places as I can possibly arrange to.

PHILOSOPHY

As Thoreau once wisely proposed, I hope to "suck the marrow out of life" and drink in the moments of contentment just as fervently as those of umbrage, anguish, or ecstasy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I'm not set up to host others at the moment, but I would love to do that one day. In the meantime, I'm traveling the world with other surfers, meeting extraordinary people everyday, and spreading the good word of CS whenever I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been surfing since March 2011 and haven't stopped since. I've had adventures in Sardegna, Morocco, Naples, Amsterdam, and many other places throughout Europe and America. I've met some of the most inspiring people in my life through CS. And I can't wait to meet more!

Interests

For a farm girl like myself, animals and nature have always kept a warm spot in my heart. Awing at beautiful lanscapes and venturing into forbidden territory are always fun undertakings, but doing it with a dog by your side or a horse underneath is even better! I also have a knack for photography, capoiera (a mixed-martial art), yoga and getting my hands dirty in anything creative. Though I must say that breaking out in spontaneous song and dance is the most cathartic of all experiences. Besides that, sharing a beer and good conversation with friends is hard to beat.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah, there are too many!

Maybe I should just name a few favorite directors: Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubric, Francis Ford Coppola, Clint Eastwood.
...okay, so I am also a Batman fan and loved the movie Midnight Cowboy, if that says anything about my personality.

And maybe a few authors as well: Tolkien, Thoreau, George Orwell, John Krakauer, Ursula LeGuinn

As for music, I'm a big festival lover. Something about the great outdoors, the flash-backs to hippie days, and the sounds of great musicians gets to my heart every time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bungee jumped in New Zealand, cooked camel in Morocco, and once had an affair with a famous politician in Italy. Okay, so the last one isn't true, but I did eat ice cream with one and lived for a while in the childhood home of Dario Franceschini. All of course, were amazing memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone and anything they are passionate about. I would love to learn how to play the guitar, surf, and hotwire a car. In exchange, I can teach you how to make a beer can ashtray, a spoon ring, and how to hypnotize a chicken (you know you have always wanted to!).
