ABOUT ME

My name is Jesus and I am originally from Mexico, but I moved to California in the United States when I was 12 and stayed there until I turn 25. I enjoy long conversations with people as well as moments of silence on my own, it varies from day to day.

I am currently traveling through Europe, been doing so since June of 2012, although I took a couple of months off to go home.

PHILOSOPHY

Know more about the world each day, and try to help others be happy.

A philosophy that was inspired by many great thinkers, but mainly by Carl Sagan.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have participated in the program by meeting people for drinks, hosted, coffee and walking around their city.

I have met a few people so far from Couchsurfing or have used it so far, and it keeps making me more interested on the site.

Been using as I travel through Europe.

Interests

I am interested in meeting people, learning new things, learning how things work.
Long walks around the city or beach. Hiking,biking, football (soccer) , coffee shops, reddit.
I enjoy reading books about Human Relationships, Neuroscience, Physics, Cosmology, Astronomy, Biology, Science Fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving, for someone scared of heights this was a great achievement.

Abandoning my comfortable life in San Diego, selling most of my possessions, giving up my apartment, and quitting my job which implied no secure source of income.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a very good Computer Programmer.

I can also make some Mexican food, like Salsa and tortillas if the ingredients are available. Unfortunately, neither of these two foods resemble that of my mom, who was my teacher, but nonetheless is close enough and eatable ;)
