Overview
About Me
I quit my job back home and am currently traveling around the world. I started traveling on October 31, 2015. I'm a pretty organized and clean traveler and like to carry as little as possible. I've never really used couchsurfing before, and my account was deactivated for a few years, but I was convinced to start this thing back up after going to a really great pub crawl in Osaka, Japan.
I would say I'm more of a "wants to experience new things that I can't find back home" kind of traveler. I tend to like physically/mentally demanding activities. Examples: I worked as a banana humper on a farm in Queensland, AUS; trekked the Manaslu circuit in Nepal; and motorcycled through Vietnam. I tend to try weird foods and like niche cultural things. Like eating octopus legs that were "alive" in South Korea or seeing a kiwi bird release in New Zealand.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to make friends in the new places I wind up in. Almost everything is made better with friends.

• A Song of Ice and Fire
• anything by Isaac Asimov
• Snow Crash

I love movies. A little bit too much. Notable mentions:
• Back to the Future

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to see Yabusame, traditional Japanese horseback archery, live, in Tokyo at one of the famous shrines in Japan.
I've survived two very near death experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm told I'm a pretty good English teacher. This coming from people who were learning English at the language cafe I worked at when I was in Busan, ROK.
I'm looking to learn Korean.
I can share my experience and knowledge having traveled and worked in many different places. I've got a bit of a broad knowledge base.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm clean, I pick up after myself, I'm pretty sociable, and I like to go out and do stuff.
