ABOUT ME

I am a registered nurse traveling around the country on a relatively weekly basis for work, then head home for the weekends. I live on a river in Kankakee IL and travel all across the country. My husband is a correctional officer who also trains horses. We have a bulldog and a Great Dane roommates - but they're pretty friendly and don't take up too much room

PHILOSOPHY

I try to smile and make someone smile every day. I don't necessarily believe in religion but I like the Buddhist ideas about living your life purely and one day reaching Nirvana. But that doesn't stop me from eating Taco Bell or partaking in a little consumption now and then. I always believe I can change for the better of myself and for the world so I'm never really done.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spare bedroom, a gym, an office and an unfurnished basement that you may help yourself to, along with the beautiful views of the river from a hammock or swing in the back yard. My company pays for most of my travels now but I'm up for meeting new people while I'm traveling. And we go on adventures pretty often and would love to try our first couch surfing adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet :/ But we did bum hammocks from some people in Costa Rica once... Met the most humble and helpful locals who then drove us across the country saving us tons of money. We still keep in touch.

Well, I'm an ER Nurse and an adventurer... So if there is an injury that you may have to deal with on your own someday- I've probably got experience with it. I also am learning management/consulting skills for those white collar travelers. My hubs is great with reading people and animals and has extensive survival skills.
I also have a nice library (in progress) in which you may research to your hearts desire.
We would love to learn anything and everything. We're lifelong students of the world.
