ABOUT ME

Four years in the academic ivory tower. Now I'm itching to roll around in the mud at a farm, and climb mountains, and sail, and knit, and dive, and paint, and experience everything in the real world. I want to meet all kinds of people and have adventures. I want to eschew conventionality (even while using words like eschew. . . oh I'm so far gone). Mostly I want to believe in things again, and there's no better time than the present for all of us to redefine reality.

Music: Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Regina Spektor, Andrew Bird, Sinatra, Chopin, Vivaldi, Brahms, Elliot Smith, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Queen.

Books/ Authors: Tolstoy, V. Woolf, George Eliot, Herman Hesse, and naturally Shakespeare. I like a lot of modern stuff too. This sounds so austere, I don't know how it will make me any friends!
