ABOUT ME

I am quite an easy going fellow. Shy at first but I am rather bubbly once I start to warm up. I am from the sunny city of Singapore, which is a small island country at the southern tip of Malaysia, Southeast Asia. I love to make new friends, and am fascinated by new cultures. I have a much slower pace of life as compared to the pace of life in Singapore and Hongkong, and prefer time to reflect and understand the results of my actions. Most of my friend things that I am open to direct feedback and prefer frank conversations.

PHILOSOPHY

I try my best to live my life fully, although I may fall and stumble along the way. I believe in the philosophy of cause and effect, and adopt quite a lot of ancient chinese philosophy and apply them mostly in a modern context.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to the world of couch surf by an acquaintance a few years back but had never really explored it actively. I think that it is a great idea, and I do look forward to meeting new friends through this network.

Interests

I enjoy going to group exercise classes and cooking. It is one of the methods of which I destress. I am a Vajrayana Buddhist.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up listing to Chinese Pop songs.
Generally enjoy watching Hollywood movies, from thought provoking ones, to just brainless comedies. I loved the LOTR series, Marvel movies, Prayers for Bobby etc.
I am not really into reading, but I do have a small book collection. I am mainly into non-fiction ones. I generally prefer English books (because I can ready them much faster than reading Chinese books. Hahahaha......)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once gone to Nepal for 3 months alone and had a great time getting to know new friends there on my own. It was a really eye opening trip and it allowed me time and space to re-evaluate what was important in my life. I was helping out in a school there that helps poor Himalayan and the children made me consider the true value of education.
