About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working on my first feature film while working and seeing the world.
ABOUT ME
I've been living in New York City for just over six years—I came here for film school and decided to stick around.
As for what I do when I'm not writing screenplays or organizing shoots, I try to stay as active as possible—I'm a big skier and backpacker, am an avid gardener, and also love going for long walks with a film camera. I'm basically obsessed with anything involving sun, dirt, and fresh air.
Always up for a good time, whether that be going out on the town, or staying at home for a quiet evening. I think most people would describe me as easy-going (although who am I to say?). After I studied abroad in Paris in 2010, I went on a 5-week adventure from Paris to Croatia and then back, and met so many amazing people along the way, a lot of them CSers. I am honestly convinced that CouchSurfing is one of the best things to happen to the internet.
PHILOSOPHY
Just relax, and everything will eventually work out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting up with people, showing them new and interesting things to do. I live with a lot of roommates and we generally have lots of people staying over, so it can be tricky to host. So, I try to give back to the community in other ways. I love taking people out to see things off of the beaten path that they would otherwise never know existed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed all over Europe, and gone to a couple of CS meetups in Paris.
Interests
I make movies for a living. I love music--writing it, performing it, listening to it, and trading it. I am HUGE on the outdoors, be it backpacking, running, swimming, or just sitting outside in the sun. Obviously, traveling is a big passion too. I love meeting new people, and am always trying to make new friends, find new experiences, and never get stuck in a rut.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: There Will Be Blood, A Serious Man, anything by Michel Gondry, The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, Manhattan, Annie Hall, Chungking Express (possibly my all-time favorite), North by Northwest, the list goes on and on and on......
Books: The Power of One, The Remains of the Day, No Telephone to Heaven, Siddhartha
Music: What don't I like? There really isn't much I won't listen to at least a little: Avett Brothers, Daniel Johnston, Bob Dylan, The Who, AC Newman, Alela Diane, Arcade Fire, The Beatles, Ben Harper, Bruce Springsteen, Tilly and the Wall, She and Him, Kanye West, Rilo Kiley, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Nick Drake, Jack Johnson, My Morning Jacket, Michael Franti, I could list every other artist in my iTunes...But I won't for now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How about two?
Rafted through the Grand Canyon. It was a religious experience.
Hiked 70 miles on the Ozark Highlands Trail, as the Park Service performed controlled burns behind us or in front of us. We could smell the forest burning, and sometimes we'd hike through an area that was still smoldering. Everything except the trail was black ash. It was like walking through the Valley of Death, with a safe way out. Very surreal.
Cliff jumping/ swimming in Croatia. The Adriatic is one of the last beautiful seas.
Couchsurfing! Duh.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be more than happy to teach anyone how to cook up some good grub, show them a movie they've never heard of, or take them to a music show.
