About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn how to balance between parts

ABOUT ME

Born and grew in Porto, one of the most beautifull cities on earth, ended up going to the bigger Lisbon where other levels of experience were available. A bit of a workaholic, constantly speeding up the experiences and the diversity, and suddenly cool down for awhile, and then speeding up again... enjoying my job and all of my works is probably the biggest privilege I could ever have. Love observing communication patterns between different people, what makes a conversation deserve a life of it's own, how tensions develop, and trying to pull something out of that.

PHILOSOPHY

-Something's always waiting somewhere, so we must move forward to find it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted people from many different places all over the world, and have been hosted in Lithuania and Latvia.

Interests

Basically I'm in love with a lot of different areas. I love sound engineering in live situations, ended up teaching, writing chronicles on a professional audio magazine, producing theater plays, animating illustrations on 2D for theater-cenography, vídeo post-production, and what I'd love to do is totally endless. I love bike riding, wether it is for short distance transportations, or for long distance travellings. Totally passionate on cooking, Portugal is loaded with the most astonishing ingredients and dishes. Crazy passionate on cats and on how silly things can get when a cat is around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love alternative rock, electronic with lots of movement and funny little sounds, deep atmosphere, minimal electro, break beat, some drum and bass, glam, dark and indie rock, swingie jazzy sounds, in almost every kind of music there's good ones and there's bad ones. After a violent massive-overdose of the 80s music, there's no way i'll manage to hear it again.
So many books also, just the ones that most recently struck hard: John Gray, Baudrillard, Edgar Morin, Humberto Eco, Martin McDonagh, Italo Calvino, Ian McEwan, Bulgakov... lots of technical readings like Stephen Hawking, Jorge Boescu, Oliver Sacks (technical?)...
Movies, love asian Takashi Miike, Kitano, Wong Kar wai, Tarantino, Cronenberg, Lynch, Fincher, Lars Von Trier, Kubrick, Qatsi Trilogy...

Teach, Learn, Share

It's very important to separate the idea of the actual country we live in (and the diverse feelings of pride or shame for social/economical/political present situations) of the heritage we got from it. This is far more important in defining who we are!, the history where we come from. There's allways a history behind something!
