About Me

I was born in Italy, while my parents were immigrating to the US from the Soviet Union. My family and I came to the US as refugees, and I have lived in various parts of California ever since (Los Angeles, Davis/Sacramento, San Diego).

I'm an attorney... but, a fun one! At least I'd like to think so! I have worked in several legal capacities and practiced different types of law (including criminal and family law) so I have tons of insane stories to share!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm striving to travel as much as possible and make meaningful personal connections along the way. My job is extremely demanding and time-consuming, not allowing me to take as much time off to travel and explore as I'd like, so I cherish each moment I am able to take.

If you're in the LA area I would l love to meet up and grab some coffee or a drink and show you some great places in the city. Unfortunately, I can't host just yet as I am renting and sharing the space with the owner. Once I have my own place, hopefully soon, I hope to open it up to surfers!

Interests

I'm part of a dodgeball league (co-ed, mostly non-competitive ). It is insanely fun, and if you're in town you can join me for a game. Our number one rule is, "don't be a dick," and I've sort of adopted this rule while navigating through life.

Cooking is a favorite. Mostly Asian concoctions, from ingredients I have on hand. I don't do well with instructions and prefer to create food by smell, taste, and texture. I love making sushi!

Yoga, hot preferably. It's one of the few ways I'm able to clear my mind. Trying to get into meditation, but struggling. Help is appreciated.

I very much enjoy deep, explorative conversations on just about any subject.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now, I'm reading fiction as much as possible, to open my mind up to creativity.

Floated in the Dead Sea and managed to only burn my eyes once.
