ABOUT ME

I've been living in Spain for 12 years and participated heavily in the culture, from working for the government to learning flamenco and cooking local foods.

I love reading, less so writing, but always meeting new people and surprising old friends by showing up at the door unannounced wherever they live! My internet-based job permits some freedom to travel and work which is really remarkable.

I'm undisciplined with music but love playing flamenco and learning new songs. I love meeting new people and exploring cities and countrysides.

I don't like to have too many material possessions, but I live by my flamenco guitar and Macbook. I give people the benefit of the doubt.

I like to take risks and constantly challenge my own prejudices.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a connector and love not just meeting new people but making sure people meet others. There are so many opportunities for serendipity in life and I love to try to help it along.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed on couches throughout Europe, SE Asia and the USA. These have been some of the best experiences of my life. It's a great way to connect and increase worldwide serendipity.

Flamenco, all forms of traditional music, web development, evolutionary psychology, avoiding driving in snow, how the world works, learning to sail one day, scuba diving, good wine and good company, and of course meeting new people!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Flamenco, indonesian gamelan, pandit jasraj's voice, muddy waters, Mike Leigh movies, Matt Ridley books, Richard Feynman's life and lessons. Nostaligia music: elvis costello and nickel creek. I'll watch any old movie with the right company. Even part 2 and 3 of something. I am a sucker for pop-sci books in general.

Scuba diving in Sangalaki, Indonesia. Hiking the Annapurna region in Nepal. Immersing myself in flamenco in Andalusia. OK that's 3 and there are more!

I can teach flamenco appreciation (rhythm or guitar too) or programming/web design skills. I can help you simplify and clarify things about your life, whether it be how to approach some task or personal relationships.
