About Me
-------------UPDATE-------------
As of August - 2017
Unable to host, transitioning between new job and home. However I can meet up if time allows it. Don't let the zero percent response rate intimidate you. that happened during a time when I did not have access to my computer and internet. Long story, but I'm here.
CURRENT MISSION
Helping others
ABOUT ME
I've traveled a lot, and yes there is still more room for more travel. I am ready to begin focusing on my career and continued education, but travel will always be a part of who I am and I'm sure it's a part of who you are too.
I've got a lot of stories from the people I've come across, some good, some bad, some ugly too haha-but that's besides the point. I take every moment I witness in life as a growing experience, there's no point dwelling on the past, it's done, all we can do is adapt and move on forward.
I can cook, clean, I enjoy long walks and jogs on the beach (I need to do more of that jogging thing), I enjoy electronica music more experimental type bands. I have a soft spot for Spanish films such as Medianeras and Motorcycle Diaries, I always try to learn something from movies about self discovery and a yearning to grow into someone more.
PHILOSOPHY
Significant change happens over time, not over night.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed, I've hosted, now I'm continuing education and going to host once more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First time was in Seattle with my cousin, we stayed with Ellen, a Seattle dweller who took care of us and she's on my friends list too so I'll never forget her hospitality.
The second time I needed to use Couch Surfing I was in a dire situation, I didn't like the thought of sending out dozens of requests a day, I felt desperate in doing so but when times are tough you do what you must to survive, needless to say after a freezing night outside of the Eindhoven Airport in January I met Bram who is also in my friends list, he and his roommates took me in and I got to experience a side of Dutch hospitality and local perspective that I hadn't really got out of Amsterdam, my time in Eindhoven was warm and left a pleasant impression upon me. I am thankful for how things turned out there.
After hosting so many during my time in Viña del Mar I felt like I was returning the favor from the kindness of others who have hosted me and I found that hosting is a far more enjoyable experience than surfing (just my personal preference and not saying I don't enjoy surfing). So give me a request and we'll see what we can do.
Interests
I love hiking, backpacking, camping-you know I just love being outdoors.
Writing, watching films, making films, hearing French being spoken, traveling, watching sports, watching sporting events at stadiums, talking to friends no matter what.
Advertising is a strong interest of mine. I would like spend a few years of my life working in advertising, I can never get tired of learning about it on my free time.
I like learning about people and ideas who shaped a time period, such as the people of Florence and the impression made during the Renaissance, even revolutions, reformations, all of them. The historian in me loves the fact that one person truly can change the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like French films like Jeux d'enfants, La Science des Rêves. Also spanish films like Medianeras, Diarios de Motocicleta, Biutiful. I like a lot of films I can write paragraphs but I'll stop here. Oh and Annie Hall.
Music, I love Oasis-my favorite band, I'm getting more into the local Los Angeles Electronica scene so from there I've found Big Black Delta whom I can't not listen to as I'm typing this.
Books, I've read a lot, still reading, we can talk about books and see which ones we have in common.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kissing in a midnight downpour in Rome.
I'm a bit of a romantic at heart haha.
Seeing fireworks on the rooftop of an Amsterdam flat on NYE 2011
Seeing fireworks on the beach during NYE at Viña del Mar 2014
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make Gnocchi, pasta sauce, a lot of things, I love improvising in a kitchen. I can't sing, or play an instrument but I enjoy dancing! So if you don't have the most confidence in yourself when it comes to the dance floor, don't worry we can both make fools of ourselves. Just ask, I'm like a renaissance man, I've got experience in almost everything.
I'd love to learn how to repel for spelunking, how to scuba dive, how to sail a boat, how to surf, how to make a fire from using wood and rocks, how to carve a pumpkin-and make it look pretty, I'd love to learn how to have better balance.
Everyone has their own unique story to share, and a unique perspective, getting the chance to share ideas and dreams is one of the most beautiful ways I think there is to get to know someone, I mean really get to know someone.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Drugs and debauchery... lol
No, but I can share a helping hand, a clean guest, help in the kitchen, whatever, I am very flexible and comfortable with even a dirty job, I used to be a housekeeper in a men's dormitory so I know about cleaning up a mess.
