About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am on a mission to travel to far-flung places with the hope of meeting new and interesting people and experiencing things that I can treasure as great life experiences!
ABOUT ME
I am, deep-down, a bit of a nerd, but don't let that put you off! I think of myself as a pretty easy-going guy who takes life in his stride. I am keen to see what the world has to offer and to realise what I can offer in return.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep on keeping on!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, my CS experience is limited, but I am happy to change that and show people around Sweden (work schedule permitting!) So if you want to join me, then give me a message and I will try my best to work something out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have unofficially surfed in Sweden three times and in September 2011, I had my first "official" CS experience in Sanya. So far: VERY good. I am keen to meet more lovely people and hopefully have some great times.
Interests
I have a degree in Film and am a massive fan of cinema in general. I can watch dodgy 1970s horror, or ponder on the works of Godard or Truffaut. My all time favourite film has to be Fight Club - I just keep coming back to it! I am a MASSIVE music fan (as in, I love music, not that I am massive physically!) and I have a particular penchant for great drums. This means I tend to be into the beats of good Hip Hop, like J-Dilla, DOOM, ATCQ, Kanye, Dilated Peoples and pretty much anything Stones Throw Records puts out. I am also partial to some electronica/dance and love the French electro stars like Mr Oizo, Justice, Kavinsky and SebastiAn. I can chill to a film soundtrack or something more poppy too: it really depends on my mood. Let's just say my iTunes has a pretty eclectic mix!
Otherwise, I am also interested in Art and Design, fashion and photography, enjoying life; travelling, meeting new people and trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My biggest adventure has to be moving to Shanghai in Dec. 2010. I was thrown out of my comfort zone and into an entirely new culture, but through trying to adapt and survive, I have had some great experiences here from the small things like drinking a beer with new friends, to the more momentous things like climbing the Great Wall of China.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning to say "hello", counting to ten, and saying "please" and "thank you" in as many languages as you can not only impresses friends, but also endears you to locals. It's so simple, but from my experience, it's GOLD!
