About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Convince my friend to run for President and get me as Philippine Tourism Secretary. Master my pirouettes.

ABOUT ME

I love travelling... i just wish i earn a "first-world-country" income and have a "third-world-country" cost of living. :D
I love meeting people and learning bits of their dialect/language.
I'm drawn into anything orange.
I also sing and dance spontaneously.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life one day at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, i do not own a place / space / couch to share... but if you guys are planning to have Philippines as one of your stops on your next backpacking trip, let me know. If my schedule permits, I can tour you around (especially around Metro Manila).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of Couchsurfing event i organized got featured in the official blog of Couchsurfing! :) http://couchsurfing.tumblr.com/post/53113205331/it-was-our-10th-couchsurfing-manila-frisbee-event

========
In 2014 traveled to Singapore with one of my closest Friend. We stayed for two nights at our Host's place, and she also showed us around SG. During this trip, me and my friend joined a CS heritage walk at a Kampong site and also played ultimate frisbee with the locals.

========
I've experienced couchsurfing in Taipei, Taiwan, thanks to my host Chris Muda! Also in Taiwan, attended several CS events! I had so much fun, I am looking forward to my next CS experience! :D

========

First time to join an event of CS Manila for the Magalawa Beach Camping. That weekend trip was so much fun! Fellow CS Manila members are so much fun to be with!

========

I have toured a Japanese friend from CS, Akifumi Yamamoto. He is in the Philippines for a short language course. He said he wanted to visit churches and old structures in Manila and i was more than happy to be his "tour guide" for one day all over Manila. :)

========

I have hangout with a Czech friend/colleague from the office and showed him around Manila - Intramuros, Rizal Park, SM Mall of Asia

========

Actively participated in various CS Manila events - meet-ups, parties, sports, outreach programs - and gained new friends along the way. :)

========

Co-Organizer of the regular CS-Manila Frisbee and CS-Manila Frisbeach events!

Interests

I'm not good with small talks, but I love meeting new people.
I haven't trained as much, but I love dancing.
I don't think I'm good at it, but I love singing.
I hate packing my things, but I love to travel.

LANGUAGE

Filipinos are very adept in speaking english... even street peddlers can speak to you in english! So getting around and communication would not be that difficult...
Still, having these few phrases can help...

"Mabuhay" is a generic greeting for tourists coming over the Philippines.

You say "Kumusta?" to ask a person "how are you?" Its actually a play on the spanish "como esta?"

"Umaga" is morning, "Hapon" is afternoon and "Gabi" is night... and if you wanna sa "Good Morning/Afternoon/Evenig", just add "Magandang" at the beginning of each word (e.g. "Magandang Gabi" means Good Evening.

Who - "Sino?"
What - "Ano?"
When - "Kelan?"
Where - "Saan?"
Why - "Bakit?"
How - "Paano?"
How much - "Magkano?"

If you're already hungry, just say "Gutom na ako"
And if you find the food delicious, you say "masarap!"

Thank you is "Salamat!"
Take care is "Ingat!"
