We are a recently married couple on the run from our home town in search of adventure, fun, and a temporary new home...hopefully in New Mexico! We are interested in hiking, swimming, pottery, music and other crafts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am on a roadtrip with my new wife, Lily, so this profile is really for both of us. We are thinking of making New Mexico our spot for the spring and summer before Lily starts grad school in the fall. We are looking for hosts for a week or so while we get the lay of the land and figure out where we want to set up shop for a few months in our own space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

John surfed a bunch on his own two years ago on a solo roadtrip, and we have hung w surfers in DC via friends.

Interests

Open-mindedness, useless trivia, foods from all over the world, delicious beer, living sustainably, art (in the extremely broad sense), biking, writing letters, swimming holes, pottery, gardening, reading, writing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Jazz, Soul, Funk, Classic Rock, Bluegrass/Country Western, Classical/Orchestral

Movies: Total documentary nerd, especially about art or architecture, but other than that really like a good epic movie.

A lot of non-fiction: there is so much in this world to learn about, short stories Animal Farm is probably my favorite all-time...George Orwell!
