About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore all future possibilities for myself- in the present :)

ABOUT ME

I am just beginning my travels abroad, but I have always been someone who loves new people, places, things and new experiences in general. It might sound hokey... but it's true. I cannot wait to get started on my adventures.

edit

Couchsurfing has been a HUGE part of my exploration of the world. I woudln't have it any other way. I think that no matter where life takes me, I always love a good surf or host occasion. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Everywhere you go, leave it a little more beautiful than you found it.
Every person you meet, give them a reason to smile for a while.

When everyone does this, the world becomes an even more remarkable place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met Couchsurfers and have heard story after story of wonderful experiences. I would like to start couchsurfing and hosting once I get a couch.
------
I surf and host now! My couchsurfing experience has definitely come full circle and then some more concentric circles for me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I will be updating this soon... I'd like to couchsurf for the first time in London, and I'll be able to host people when I get back from Europe.

***Update***

I couchsurfed with the Thundera Collective in London for 2 weeks. I love them all and it was a great experience. It was a wonderful first time couchsurfing experience :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Variety is the spice of life. I like a wide breadth of genres, but if I had to choose my favoritist of my favorites? Whimsy. I love the whimsy movies.
e.g. Wes Anderson, Hayou Miyazaki, Tim Burton, Wong Kar-wai

When it comes to books, I tend to read dramatic, emotional and/or dystopic stories, e.g. Kurt Vonnegut, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Banana Yoshimoto

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite couchsurfing experiences is when our host took us out of the city to a forest spot where we foraged for chanterelle mushrooms til dusk.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everything- it has been difficult for me to choose a "life path" because there are so many I want to go on. Basically, I love learning- my most meaningful learning comes from people and listening to their stories rather than classroom learning. Because I'm most interested in people and their stories, the way I travel and live my life in general, really reflects that.

In 2007 I taught conversational English in Wroclaw Poland at a non-profit dedicated to helping unemployed adults.
