About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people, have fun, explore. That kinda stuff.
ABOUT ME
I've been living in London for years. I couch surfed about 10 years ago when hitchhiking around Europe. It was a great experience but what with London being expensive to live I've never had an opportunity to repay the favour, but now I'm lucky enough to have a nice flat in Tottenham with my partner Terri (you can see her in the photos!) and think it's about time I pay it forward (and, I guess, backward?!).
I enjoy a good discussion and a few laughs over a few beers. I also still just about have the energy to make my way more central for a nice techno night every once in a while. I am also an avid sports fan - football (both american and the real kind), basketball, rugby, tennis, etc. You name it, I like it - except field hockey it is unnatural for people to run while crouching down.
I'm currently planning to do a road trip around the USA with Terri this year so any recommendations on that would be super cool.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couch surfed a couple of times in Europe around 10 years ago and loved it. Everyone was super friendly and it was amazing to get a first hand experience of different cultures.
Interests
Love music and DJ techno when I am allowed to (and house when I'm not allowed to spin techno). I enjoy a good festival and nothing but nothing beats Primavera as the best collection of exceedingly high quality sound and the best bands around.
Football - I'm a massive Brighton and Hove Albion fan. Let's talk about the relative complementary qualities of the double pivot of Alexis MacAllister and Moises Caicedo!
Other stuff - I tend to keep a cursory interest in most things! I read a lot about economics and stuff so please no Austrian Economists...(only joking that is a nerd economics reference and I actually accept economists of all schools of thought :D)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was up a mountain in China called Huangshan and ventured over to a section where many people told me not to go at about 5 in the morning. I went past a place supposedly the 'best place for photography on the whole mountain' but it was thick with clouds. On my way back just as I got there the clouds had cleared and the view was terrifying but incredible - no hand rails or anything stopping me from a sheer drop. By the time I could get my camera back the clouds had gathered again.
This was when I was 20, and I don't think I'd be doing that now!
Teach, Learn, Share
I still maintain an active interest in philosophy of mind, philosophy of politics, philosophy of art. A nice chunky discussion on these would surely enlighten all involved!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm working on a sweet homemade hand pulled aubergine noodle dish. Generally speaking both Terri and I can cook decent vegan food from all different cuisines!
