ABOUT ME
I'm interested in finding new and interesting places. I rarely traveled while I was in college because I always worried about something going wrong and messing up my schedule for graduation. Now that i'm done (or at least taking a break) I can make up for lost time.
I'm really into learning about the hidden places in a city. I love to learn interesting traditions of a region and all of the little things that make make a place unique.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is best summed up in a quote by Mahatma Ghandi.
"Be the change you want to see in the world".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had some great experiences with couch surfers who have stayed with me and my roommates. I have met all kinds of really interesting people who have had plenty of stories and experiences to share.
I was really worried about the idea of couch surfing when i first moved to Gainesville. My roommates told me that they participated in it and the first thing I thought was, "great sketchy people sleeping on the couch". However after having lived in Gainesville and experienced what couch surfing is about, I have nothing but positive things to say about it. It has been a great experience.
Interests
I am interested in photography, graphic design, art, sculpture, hiking, music, theatre, wandering, meeting new people, movies, mountains, current events, and coming up with new ways to entertain myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Recently I have read empire falls, The great good places, city comforts, The book of vice, and currently i'm reading the rise of the creative class.
Music: I enjoy all music however right now i'm really loving folk music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful sunset I have seen was in Key West, Fl. I was there with some of the best people in the world and watching the sun set over a crystal clear ocean was amazing. It made the drive down there worth it.
The most spectacular night sky I have ever seen was in the blue ridge mountains. If you go far enough into the mountains you can escape all of the light pollution created by the cities.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be more than willing to share any information I could about technology, third spaces, urban design, sustainability, digital media, music, photography, history, and anything else I might have learned.
I enjoy learning about almost anything.
