My name is Jakub, I am 24 years old. I have just finished my studies at IT services - management and engineering with orientation on graphic design and typography.

Currently I am working on the project Better Dolny Lopasov, where I try to make my village more pleasant place to live. We organize cultural events, summer cinema, publish local newspapers, run center for mothers and I installed colourful benchces and create new places for relax and leisure.

I really like to meet and know new people, because also your best friends were strangers for you before... :)

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

I offer my place in Bratislava for couchsurfers. I want to stay at somebody's place on my trips :)

I stayed one night in Brussels and in Valencia with couchsurfing and it was great. I was also in Milano and Amstedram with my girlfriend Anna. I acommodated a few people from CS during my Erasmus in Palma. And of course lot of my friends... :)

My main interests are culture, graphic design and music. I like also summer and festivals. POHODA is the best slovak festival and I recommend it to everybody! :) My others interests are friends and making ideas real. I like beautiful things in this world.

One of my most favourite movies ever is probably The Shutter Island, but I could list many movies, which I like. Generally I like movies with some specific atmosphere, which I will remember for years after watching. Or movies, which surprise me at the end. It would be great if you recommend me some good movie. I like talking about movies... :)

I organize cultural weekend in my small village, where was concert, movies, exhibitions, readings, discussions and presentations. It was attended by 400 people. Similar kind of event has never taken place in my village before.

I hope I will meet some people, who help me with orientation in their city and teach me something about their culture. And on the other hand I want to be the best host, who will teach you something about my culture. If you want I can teach you some basics of Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign. And I can teach you how to solve Rubik's cube! :)
