About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To gain experience, knowledge, understanding, and enjoy everything!

ABOUT ME

They would say that I am kind, giving, strong, weird, honest, open-minded, and an all together good guy. They would also note that if anybody can do it - Jeremy can! - which could venture into a plethora of ponderings.

PHILOSOPHY

To live, to truly live, and enjoy everything!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am Hosting, but in the near future, I shall Surf. And then probably Host some more, and then most likely - Surf some. And hopefully I will keep meeting interesting people that will lead to interesting activities, that in turn, will lead to more Hosting and Surfing. We shall see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, so good. I am still somewhat of a rookie, but I have been getting schooled by my guests. I like meeting others and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I believe you tend to see more of the world and learn more about yourself, through experiences with others.

Interests

I love music - hearing it, seeing it,and feeling it. I like to walk/hike and be outside. I like to people watch and write. The following aspects of my life grab me, shake me, and make me feel alive: being near water (not just a faucet/spicket, although these are nice - but a body of water, river, etc.), vibrant colors, an infectious laugh, seeing life through my daughter's eyes, watching or being around children at play, hearing stories or facts about life from an older generation, watching a movie that makes me think or changes my perspective, a smile that is genuine, a meeting of the minds, a burst of creativity across any medium (others or my own), thinking of possibilities, discussing dreams, acting/playing like a child, exploring, a spark of curiosity, a vision of beauty (person, place, or thing), dancing (I am not that experienced but I like to do it and watch others that can move), spontaneity, finding a treasure (person, place, or thing), getting lost, getting found, giving to others, a freak occurrence, an embarassing moment, looking out the window and seeing life in action, being around others that I honestly want to be around, witnessing skill or finesse (sporting events, circuses, concerts, plays, etc.), feeling special or making someone else feel special, and so many other imaginable and unimaginable actions or reactions to the ever changing world around us.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many movies, different styles of music, and classifications of books that it is very tricky to narrow it down to the favorites. If it makes me think, if it inspires, if I feel, if I crack a smile, or truly gain something for indulging my senses - I am all for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the privelege to work with the homeless population for about four years. I was able to make a difference in several people's lives and also witness great examples of courage, resilience, creativity, and an overall sense of community. I was blessed with a Daughter and experienced her birth and help shape her world over the last fourteen years: in the process she also greatly shaped me. I have also worked in the mental health field, and I have been able to help people change, grow, and create a world that is certainly a better place because they are an active participant in it. I have witnessed change in myself and in others that is truly awe inspiring.

Teach, Learn, Share

This question/section is tough as I am always learning from others, but I don't necessarily know how I may teach??? I can definitely share aspects of myself that will either bore or mystify you. I think I will have to edit this at some point - maybe some future surfers will help me do it up proper.
