About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To reinvent myself, to enjoy life, travel and through others discover myself

ABOUT ME

I'm forward thinking, optimistic in the extreme and looking to reinvent myself into something far better than I currently am. I take every moment to be an opportunity and I intend to grasp each one. I am also looking to travel and to discover myself through opening myself to every culture I can find. I'm hoping that with that I can maybe write a book about things I´ve discovered about life during my cycle tour.

I enjoy pubs, clubs, fun, cycling and just about anything else, I love to try new things and I love meeting people and making friends. Anything else you want to know just message me, I'll be happy to talk!

PHILOSOPHY

I am in the process of actually writing all this down. I have a very dusty blog at www.jamesrtyrrell.com which I really must work on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just joined but I love the idea think I'll look into participating in a variety of ways, being a programmer and with a wide range of interests should be able to find some way of being handy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed in packed flats in Tokyo and had fantastic people come and stay with me.

I have been fed a 7 course meal by a expert chef.

I have met people who have changed my entire life.

Although my experience is limited I hope to stay with loads of people with my current venture of going all around Europe. So expect this section to grow!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled over mountains, slept on pristine beaches, had 7 course meals prepared over a BBQ by a chef, invited to weddings, drunk tea in traditional Japanese buildings and walked through shrines covered in a foot of snow. Hard to choose just one thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I was a Java programmer and web developer for 4 years and a degree to back it up, if you need to learn anything about either of those things just give me a yell ;). I am also interested in learning survival / outdoor skills and about folklore and culture wherever I go.
