ABOUT ME

Um, I always find it hard to describe myself, so lets keep it simple. I am an uncomplicated, open-minded person and I love traveling and meeting new people (obviously ;) )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about couchsurfing on my working holiday year in Canada, and I had a lot of great experiences with couchsurfers that my flatmate and I hosted at our place in Banff, Alberta and when I was surfing some couches myself. Now I'm back home, and already miss travelling, so I would love to host some nice travellers from all over the world. Maybe that can even ease my "Fernweh" (a german word for some kind of reversed homesickness, where you wish to be somewhere far away and see new parts of the world)

Interests

I love music ( I play guitar, attend lots of concerts and read every music magazine I can lay my hands on) , good books and movies, spending time with my friends, traveling and getting to know new people and places. I also love to be outdoors, so I'm always up for a hike or other outdoor activities.
Right now, I'm discovering my new hometown, Leipzig. Leipzig is a beautiful, inspiring, lively, colorful and generally awesome city about an hour away from Berlin and Dresden.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm really into bands like Alt-J and Arcade Fire, but I also like a lot of old stuff such as the Beatles, Lou Reed, Nick Drake, Patti Smith, Fleetwood Mac and so on. I also love the movies by the Coen Brothers or Wes Anderson. I can't really pick a favorite book, there are just too many...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm, there are a few pretty good things I've done since I started traveling. Surfing in Tofino, skiing in the Canadian Rockies, and getting picked up by a stretch-limo while hitchhiking. Nothing completely mind blowing, but still lots of fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to play guitar, and how to make some awesome banana-pancakes :)
And of course I can show you around Leipzig, which has a lot to offer.
